Matt & Kui Millar
Matt and Kui Millar relocated back to Kenya at the end of January 2017. They had returned to the USA for Kui to complete a Master’s program for Marriage and Family Therapy at Wheaton College, which she finished in May. Now that they’re back in Kenya, each has been tasked with starting a brand new ministry.
Kui will serve directly with Nairobi Chapel as a pastor and work to establish a much needed counseling ministry at the church. She hopes to start new counseling programs as well as train lay counselors to help bring healing and restoration to broken family relationships. There are over 100 churches under the Nairobi chapel umbrella so her work will have far reaching implications.
Matt will be connected to Nairobi chapel in partnership but will continue to serve with an organization called NewThing, which focuses on the multiplication ministry as it helps churches to start more churches that start more churches. He will oversee all of Sub-Saharan Africa as the director for that region. The prayer is to start 2,000 churches in this area by the year 2020.
Together they will also be in charge of training international church planters and their families for cross-cultural ministry. Their role in this process will be focused solely on the cultural aspect of being a missionary. As a cross-cultural couple that has lived in 4 countries, they have both training and experience for this position.
