How have you been involved with Fulton Church?  Now and in the Past?  What committees, boards or service have you participated in here at Fulton Church?

I’ve been cycled a few times at Fulton Church.  This is my third tour of duty on the Deacon/Deaconess Board.  I have also been the Church Treasurer, and most recently served on the Missions Board.  Like so many of us, AWANA has been a key part of my life as a clubber, leader and helping with Camp Ripley AWANA.

Has God put anything on your heart for the future of the church?

We have such a great responsibility and opportunity to reach our community and world with the Gospel of Christ.  There has never been a better time to serve and I’m so thankful that Fulton Church members have asked me to take a leadership role in helping to define our direction.  I believe God is asking me to listen, learn and take bold action in his name.

What’s a favorite memory you have here at church?

I have so many great memories, but to protect reputations many cannot be put into writing.  The AWANA Olympics as a clubber in 1964 was a special time and created a bond that will last a lifetime.  Ice skating on the pond behind Church was always fun and jumping off… sorry need to protect some reputations.

Spiritual growth and guidance from dedicated AWANA leaders, Sunday School teachers and knowledgeable Pastors provided me with a depth of understanding that I appreciate more everyday.

My best memory, and one that is reinforced every week, is “people care” at Fulton Church.

How long have you been attending Fulton Church?

Lets just say a few years.  Five different pastors have served, the Church Fellowship Hall is located on my first playground, I can remember swimming over to the cemetery, driving a tractor across the ice… oops, almost got someone into trouble again.  Maybe it’s been more than a few years.  🙂
